They say love is blind but I say: hell no!True love is not blind.When I brought the man I married to my father,he said “Are you sure?Think well oh!Why am saying this is because if you go,you are not coming back.There is still time to say no.If I drink this wine,am not vomiting it”.I wasn’t even living with my parents at that time.I chose to go ahead with the marriage,telling may dad I chose the man,so whatever happens,I will know it was my decision.
Now the women of today,love with their eyes closed.No individual turns to a monster from one day to the next.Celebrities seem to be worse off in this area.During courtship so many things show up.A womanizer will be a liar.He tells you he is at Abuja attending a business meeting and you find our he was in Lagos.You overlook it.You visit unannounced and you see him with another lady frolicking and you conclude,it’s a man’s world.Then after marriage, you expect a a changed godly husband.My dear,it does not work that way.
There was this neighbour I had when I got married newly.We got married the same time.Every now and then you will hear her shouting and cursing her husband,calling him womanizer,liar etc.So one day,she came to ask me how come she has never heard us fighting and abusing ourselves.I explained that we live by Bible principles which forbides abusive speech and foul language though we may disagree,we iron it out and apologize if on the wrong.
I discovered from what she said that the husband had chains of girlfriends and she was one of them.The husband chose her because she was the homeliest of them all.I asked her:”If you knew the man was like that,why did you marry him then?She said she thought he will change.How will that be possible overnight. Bad habits are the most difficult to change.
Crying wolf after marriage leaves sour taste in my mouth.There are many responsible and eligible men out there.Wait for the right time and right man.Don’t lower your standard because you are desperate.
Sleeping with a man when you are not married makes it difficult for you to be objective when assessing the persons true value.If a man is an abusive and violent person during courtship, what makes you think he won’t be after marriage.
What you sow,is what you reap.Just like a good building, a good marriage starts from the foundation. Many people think Bible and our parents are old school,that’s why divorce, infidelity,
bitterness,dissatisfaction has become the lot of many couples.
Loving with your eye open is where to begin if you want to live happy after marriage. An attractive couple playing around on the beach
